Myrtle Grove had an exciting concept that captures the essence of the church and nothing says it better than our motto:
"Myrtle Grove - Where the Love Is!"
We are a family of believers that are dedicated to serving our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! We are a church of LOVE. Love for Christ and love for others… We also believe in FAMILY here at this church… We see and understand the struggles that people face these days and how difficult it is just to make it. Christians need to help each other through prayer and love and we need to be in fellowship together as a family. That's the vision that God has given us here - show God's love to others and do all we can to build up the "family" of God! What a wonderful thing to do!
So many times, we see the family pulled apart. Many families are either single parent families or families where both parents have to work. There is little time to spend together and usually when there is time, we are tired. God never meant it that way and it shouldn't be that way at church either. We have structured this church on the God-given guidance of building the family. We worship as a family… We do fellowship as a family… We have outings as a family… and, through this, we grow as a family.
We believe that we should live by the wonderful words Jesus himself gave in Matthew 22:37-39
37..." 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'
38This is the first and greatest commandment.
39And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'
Here at Myrtle Grove, we strive to put God first and family next. We are a family at Myrtle Grove.
